Can you still become an Arcane Warrior in Dragon Age II?

I'm getting the game this week and I plan on being a Mage if I can still use swords later on. If not I'll just be a warrior, but can I?Can you still become an Arcane Warrior in Dragon Age II?
The arcane warrior spec is no longer available in DA2.

No, that spec is gone. I think you can equip a sword if you really want to, but it won't do you much good. Mages in DA2 aren't meant to have a melee role.
