Dragon Age II romance with Fenris?

Is it better to have a friendship or a rivalry romance with Fenris?

Because I hear things like Fenris isn't gonna move in with you if you choose a friendship romance, etc.Dragon Age II romance with Fenris?
I've done both friendship and rivalry romances with Fenris. The big difference seems to be his reaction to the gifts, particularly the Sword of Mercy. In a rivalry situation, he turns it down flat, and gets upset at you.

The dialog points and his reaction to them is the only other difference. Otherwise, the cutscenes are almost identical once you initiate the romance itself. The rest of the time, he's going to treat the relationship with respect, even when he has a minor wiggins after the romance starts in Act 2. Just be patient with him until the start of Act 3.

A 100% friend OR rival Fenris in a romance with Hawke will stay with the party automatically even after the events that take place towards the end of Act 3.

EDIT: Fenris will NEVER move in with Hawke, under any circumstances. He's got his own mansion. Of course there are dead bodies in the hallway, but hey.... free mansion.Dragon Age II romance with Fenris?

I think the friendship romance is better. He seems happier and there are some sweet moments. Rivalry is more for people who like a romance full of conflict. Either path gets the same results though.

Fenris never moves in with you no matter what you do. Only Merril and Anders will ever live in the mansion.
