How will it look in-game? Will it run smoothly (without lag) and still look aesthetically-pleasing? I have Sims 3 installed; will that slow down or otherwise affect other games negatively?

And if a site tells you you don't have Java, you install it ... there's many sites and programs that demands Java to work correctly.
