Can you still download Mass Effect 2 for free?

Ages ago, I bought Dragon Age II when it first came out. I bought it on order with GAME, but they got my order wrong (I bought the special edition, and they tried to sell me the normal one) so I had to wait AGES for them to send me a new one.

In the box, there was a little slip of paper hidden behind everything else, saying that you could get a FREE download of Bioware's (same company for both games) Mass Effect 2, BEFORE a certain date. By the time the game had arrived and everything, the offer was out of date and it really annoyed me seeing as ME2 is a really good game and all...



I never botherer chasing it up until now but is it still possible to download ME2 for free? (Don't give me any of that "PAY FOR IT" stuff, the company themselves were giving it away for free, and it was the supplier's fault that I didn't get it, so I'm not trying to steal or anything).



I really regret not being able to get the offer, is there any way to still claim it (I still have the unused code) or download elsewhere?Can you still download Mass Effect 2 for free?
I got that free offer last year - and had to have a friend install the game for me in order to make sure it was registered by the deadline. (I'd bought it specially to take advantage of the bonus - Sounds like you didn't even know about the offer, so you're not really missing out on anything.)



Sadly there is no way for you to get it normally now, all the webpages and codes relating to that offer have been disabled.



There is a slim chance if you talk to EA's support and show them your code and beg nicely, they MIGHT take pity on you, but it's unlikely. Your best bet is to try and find a support person to talk to, show them the code and stuff, and offer to pre-order mass effect 3 if they honor your old bonus. i have never heard a free version i will say to you pay for it instead its only 15 dollars for pc and 20 for xbox 360

If you didn't register the code to your account before the offer expired you shouldn't be able to receive a free copy. If you did register it (which I guess you didn't) you simply have to download Origin ( http://www.origin.com/about ), log in to the same account you used to enter the code and then ME2 should be in your library.



It's not EA's fault that Game screwed up so they won't give you a free copy unless you manage to get in contact with a incompetent support guy. EA has many people in their tech support who give away free stuff just to shut you up so maybe you should try that: http://support.ea.com .



I have a friend who got ME2 through this promotion. He asked EA if he could have the Cerberus Network, which is usually included for free with ME2 but not with this offer. He got it anyway.
