What are the chances of there being a Dragon Age III?

With the latest installment of Bioware's Dragon Age franchise being released in March of 2011 with Dragon Age II.There are some questions that need answers/opinions. The questions are as follows:



- What are the chances of there being a Dragon Age III?

- What will the story probably be?

- Who will be the characters?

- Will we be able to see/play some old characters from DA:O %26amp; DA2?

- Will it be Hawke you play as, or Hero of Fereldon?

- Last but not least, WHEN will we see Dragon Age 3 if we see any at all?



Let me know your thoughts and opinions.What are the chances of there being a Dragon Age III?
Gamer Informer has already confirmed that DA3 is in the pipeline... but given that DA2 just came out, it will probably be at least another 6 months before we start hearing anything official about it, and a year or two before a release date is confirmed.

The story will probably pick up where DA2 left off... with Leliana seeking out Hawke and/or the Hero to end the war.

Good chance that all the major characters (who aren't dead) will make at least an appearance. Personally, I'm hoping to see more Zevran... his mini cameo in DA2 wasn't nearly enough. :) Maybe they'll even bring in someone other than Anders from DAO: Awakening.

In terms of who you play as... I think there's a very good chance it may be Leliana. But if not, my guess would be that you'll have an option of playing as your Hero, Hawke, or a new protagonist if you don't have import data available.What are the chances of there being a Dragon Age III?
It's really too early to tell right now, Dragon Age II just came out a couple months ago. I personally think it's too early to be speculating about the next one. However, the first two games have been popular, so there's no reason for there not to be a third one. Since Dragon Age: Origins came out in 2009, and Dragon Age II came out this year, I wouldn't expect anything other than expansion packs until 2013 at the earliest.What are the chances of there being a Dragon Age III?
DA3 will probably happen. It's hard to say when, DA2 was definitely rushed so I really hope they take their time.



There are very strong hints that DA3 will take place in Orlais. Will we also very likely see the outcome of both Flemeth and Morrigan's plans. Her child may show up as a companion or a villian. I think DA3 will probalby be a massive world war between mages, the chantry, the Qunari, and the Darkspawn. I also think we will likely play a new character.
If time is any factor, then I'd say Holiday 2012. Unless it gets delayed for some reason. Dragon Age II came out earlier than most of us anticipated. So I don't expect EA wanting to wait to make money. (Dragon Age Orgins - Holiday 2009 - Dragon Age II - Spring 2011 - Dragon Age III - Holiday 2012 or Spring 2013) Dragon Age III will possibly feature a different set of characters. As Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II feature different people. But it's likely you'll continue Hawke's story, unless Dragon Age II's expansion does that for us. Yet again, you will most likely see characters you've already seen, because in Dragon Age II you saw Alister. Also, connecting characters between the games always makes fans happy. So in a nutshell, in Dragon Age III you will mostly likely play a different character that will connect with the other Dragon Age games through plot and character wise and it will probably come out between Holiday 2012 and Spring 2013.
